Simplistic & Minimalist Designs
Embracing minimalism lies at the heart of our philosophy, emphasizing simplicity and mindfulness in lifestyle choices. When applied to the context of tiny houses, it entails purposeful design that caters exclusively to essential needs, leaving excess and clutter behind.
In the compact confines of a tiny house, intentional efforts are necessary to curtail possessions and focus on true necessities. This often involves downsizing and decluttering belongings, giving priority to multi-functional items, and thoughtfully considering new acquisitions. The objective is to cultivate a living space that seamlessly melds functionality and aesthetics while fostering tranquility and overall well-being.

Working Process
We don’t stray from our proven process because we know it inside out. By using the same framework with every client, we reduce stress for both our clients and us. A series of stages is the key to achieving an exceptional result, and we never stray from this structure. As a result, it makes the project easy, fast, and affordable for you.

Step 1:
Design & Planning
The first step in building a tiny house is to create a design that meets your specific needs and budget. This includes deciding on the size, layout, materials, and features of the home.

Step 2:
Building
Once the plans are finalized, construction begins. The frame of the tiny house is typically built using either wood or steel, and the walls and roof are added. Wiring, plumbing, and insulation are also installed.

Step 3:
Interior and Exterior Finishing
Once the structure is complete, the interior and exterior finishes are added. This can include flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and appliances. The exterior may be finished with siding, roofing, and other details to match your design vision.

Step 4: Transport
When the tiny house is complete, it is typically transported to its final location. This may require special permits and transportation equipment, depending on the size and weight of the home.

Step 5:
Installation
Once the home has arrived at its final location, we will work with you to prepare the site for installation. This may involve leveling the ground, pouring a foundation, or connecting to utilities. Once the site is prepared, we will install the tiny house onto the foundation or supports, ensuring that it is level and secure.
Step 6:
Final Touches
With the tiny house in place, our team will perform any final touches, such as connecting utilities, installing fixtures, and adding any finishing touches. We will work with you to ensure that the tiny house is fully functional and meets your expectations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Need help? We’ve got you covered!
Do I need an architect?
Whether you need an architect to help renovate your home depends on the project that you are planning; the potential difficulties and often the period style of the property.
Please don’t hesitate contact us to discuss more.
What are building regulations/controls?
They are imposed by the local authority mainly to ensure that home improvements are carried out to agreed health and safety standards and to protect both the owner and the property. Building regulations are more complicated for areas where people will actually be living as the local authority needs to ensure that people can escape safely in the event of a fire, and not live in a property that would have no insulation or proper drainage.
Do I need a project manager?
OKG Unihome Project managers can be helpful at securing cost effective quotes, managing the renovation project (staff, materials etc) and that any problems are sorted quickly and practically. However you will typically need to pay them a daily/weekly rate, so you need to be sure they will add the equivalent value.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, our 12-month warranty is considered to be one of the best in the industry for the client. The warranty covers the labour, as well as the installation of the entirety of your renovation project. The warranty on our finishing materials comes with a warranty that lasts another 1 to 10 years.
